Kevin Kowalchuk

Kevin is currently a 5th year senior pursuing a major in geological engineering with a double in geology and geophysics.  "I started lifting weights my junior year of high school, and I would say every year I get more and more serious.  I have a great deal of respect for bodybuilders who compete; I’m starting to realize that in order to take it to that level you must dedicate more than just time in the gym – it becomes a lifestyle.  The dedication it takes is something I am currently debating on whether or not I am willing to do.

I have made some slow but respectable gains since starting to lift weights.  I started around 6’-2” and 165lbs (I was a toothpick…) and am now the same height and 220lbs.  My goals currently are to pack on as much size as I can without turning into a complete jelly roll.  I keep track of my diet (roughly) and try to get around 3500 – 4000 calories a day.  I have a hard time getting more than that down in one day (if you have some hints please share).  I do most of my workouts at the Shell, and I will go to the NAT every once in a while.  If you see me and can give any tips on workouts/form/diet please come on over because most of what I learn has either been by watching others or just trying things on my own and seeing how it goes."
